Life Skills & Job Readiness Workshop
February 24, 2024
Smith Williams Service Center
Tallahassee, FL

What an enriching day it was for everyone involved! Our workshop was packed with valuable activities that left a lasting impact. From mock interviews to resume writing, the young adults gained essential skills for their future endeavors. They also delved into the importance of dental and personal hygiene, managing time, emotions and stress. They received an insightful presentation from Taltran on navigating public transportation and more.

Sponsors, the Children Services Council, McDonald's, Artistic Designs, and LSLA, the young adults received more than they expected. For example, participants
received resume training and samples, a resume portfolio, personal & dental hygiene products, journals, pens, a confirmation letter for 12 community service hours, a $20 gift card, breakfast, lunch and a graduation certificate and reception dinner.
